Washing Your Genius Weft
  • Use a sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner to gently cleanse your weft without stripping away moisture.
  • Wash your weft once every 1-2 weeks depending on usage. Avoid washing too frequently to prevent drying out the hair.
  • Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water, avoiding tangling. When washing, focus on gently massaging the roots and scalp.

Drying the Weft

  • After washing, gently pat the weft dry with a microfiber towel to absorb excess water.
  • Avoid wringing or twisting the hair.
  • Let the weft air dry whenever possible to prevent heat damage. If you need to use a blow dryer, use it on a low heat setting with a diffuser.

Brushing and Detangling

  •   Use a wide-tooth comb or a soft-bristle brush to gently detangle the weft, starting from the tips and working your way up to the roots.
  • Brush the weft daily to prevent tangles and maintain the smooth texture.
When detangling, always support the base of the weft to avoid tension on the attachment points.

Heat Styling and Protection

  • The Virgin Genius Weft can be styled just like your natural hair. However, always use a heat protectant spray before using hot tools like flat irons or curling wands.
  • Opt for low to medium heat settings to prevent excessive heat exposure and extend the life of the hair.
Sleeping and Swimming
  • Before going to bed, braid or tie your hair into a loose ponytail to prevent tangling while sleeping.
  • Use a silk or satin pillowcase to minimize friction and protect the hair from frizz.
  • When swimming, it’s best to avoid saltwater or chlorine exposure. If swimming is necessary, secure your weft in a protective style and wear a swim cap.

Reinstallation and Maintenance

  • To keep your Virgin Genius Weft looking its best, schedule professional maintenance every 6-8 weeks to reposition or reinstall the weft as your natural hair grows.
  • Avoid pulling or tugging on the weft to ensure the longevity of both the hair and the attachment points.
